The Chinese wafer manufacturer has requested high precision wire saws and wafer inspection systems from Meyer Burger, which just yesterday announced its successful public takeover bid of Roth & Rau.
MB Waftertec will supply the wire saws, while the inspection systems will come from Hennecke Metrology Systems. Both are subsidiaries of the Switzerland-based company. It was not disclosed when the equipment will be delivered.
GCL Zhu Gong Shan, chairman and CEO commented: "We choose Meyer Burger as our strategic supplier enabling us to produce top quality solar wafers and meet the increasing demand for our high quality products in the solar industry as well as achieve our growth targets."
