Located in Perris, the 513,588 square meter rooftop space has been leased out to SCE by Dexus Property Group for a 20 year period.

SCE will reportedly install around 36,000 photovoltaic panels on the rooftop, which at peak generating capacity, are expected to generate up to 10 MW of power. Construction is scheduled to begin late this year, while it is hoped the system will be operational in 2012.

In a statement issued, it was said, "The new solar station will be part of a network of solar plants SCE is building through southern and central California. Electricity generated by these installations will be transferred directly into the neighboring SCE energy grid through more than a dozen groups of inverters and transformers built alongside the building."
