Belectric named solar EPC leader

The company, which has achieved the record for the second time in a row, has installed large-scale roof-mounted systems, and car park and greenhouse solar projects worth a total of 391 MW across all continents.

A spokesperson tells pv magazine that, overall, the company has installed 176 MW in Germany, 125 MW in France, 47 MW in Italy, 31 MW in the U.S., eight MW in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and four MW across the rest of the world. They add that key markets are Europe, Asia, the U.S, and the Middle East.

Belectric manufactures the majority of the balance of system (BOS) components, including substructures and cable systems, in house. This, says the company, results in reduced costs per generated kWh (LCOE) "in the long run". The company also works with leading solar players, like First Solar, Solar Frontier, SMA and Sharp.

In addition to manufacturing its own BOS components, it cites its strong financial position as a key reason for its success. In a statement released, it explained, "With an equity ratio of 60 percent and a high credit limit, Belectric is viewed as one of the most reliable partners by investors and banks responsible for project financing."

Looking ahead to the future, Belectric says it will focus on moving into further international markets. Germany will, however, continue to play an important role.

Belectric has 2,000 employees working in 15 countries.
