Mobile routers are integrated into the PV system, usually in the control cabinet. The mobile routers autonomously register with the service portal and establish a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection either automatically or on demand after receiving an SMS message. Maintenance personnel can also access the portal via a secure OpenVPN connection.
The Wie-Service24 portal serves as an intelligent hub between the system operator, the service personnel, and the PV system. Only authorized users can access the encrypted photovoltaic system data via the remote maintenance portal. PV systems with identical IP addresses can be easily interlinked using 1:1 NAT (Network Address Translation). There is also one USB interface and up to two additional ports, which can be used for serial RS-232 or RS-422/RS-485, M-Bus, Ethernet, and IO interfaces.
