Facing tariffs in the U.S. and potential tariffs in the E.U., Chinese photovoltaic manufacturers are expanding operations in other markets. Australia is shaping up as being an important market for some Chinese manufacturers and ReneSola has continued to expand its operations there.

Yesterday’s announcement, to supply True Value Solar with eight MW of modules, is additional to 45 MW already shipped to Australia by ReneSola.

True Value Solar is a part of the Germany-based EPC M+W Group and supplies residential and commercial customers in Australia. ReneSola will begin supplying its monocrystalline modules to True Value Solar by the end of the month.

In a statement announcing the supply agreement, ReneSola’s CEO Xianshou Li said the company’s business in Australia is continuing to grow. "In Australia, our brand awareness of our products, particularly our Virtus line, continues to improve."
