Overall, the U.S. Export-Import Bank was said to have provided US$9 million worth of debt financing for the project, which was executed under Indias Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. It is the second time the bank has worked together with MiaSolé.
Overall MiaSolé says it has completed photovoltaic projects in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. "MiaSole CIGS solar panels have proven to deliver the best solution for our project and are a compelling solution for the India market," said Anil Kumar Kutty, Director of KSK on the back of todays news.
MiaSolé CEO, John Carrington added, "In 2013, we will expand our global footprint and our business model to invest in projects, acquire project pipeline and partner with leading developers and EPC companies in sustainable markets like India. Ex-Im Bank's support of MiaSole's technology lowers the cost of project financing, and will expand the deployment of our California-made solar modules in projects globally."
The company said it also plans to double its workforce this year, from 200 to 400.
