The Bellingham project, which is expected to be completed by late June, was developed by NextSun Energy with Gehrlicher Solar performing engineering and construction.
Washington Gas Energy Systems will own and operate the project, which will sell photovoltaic electricity under a 20-year PPA.
The project will comprise 12,672 solar panels and is expected to save schools in the town some $6 million dollars in energy costs over the plants 20 year lifetime.
