Martifer launches online monitoring portal

Bringing together data from a range of projects and technologies, Martifer Solar’s new Energy Portal will allow O&M customers and power plant owners to monitor the performance of their solar installations in real time. The portal incorporates information from around 5,000 inverters with satellite radiation data.

Online monitoring tools from inverter suppliers are relatively well established, with Germany’s SMA having launched a photovoltaic performance webpage in 2010, for installations throughout the country. Data from the SMA platform revealed last week that the Germany’s photovoltaic production hit a record 23.4 GW on June 6.

The new Martifer Solar tool is also web based and has also been optimized for tablet computers and smartphones, allowing mobile monitoring of its projects.

"Our Energy Portal is an essential tool to answer our customers’ needs and requests for prompt availability of useful information and support to asset management responsibilities," said Marco Alves, O&M and After-Sales Business Director of Martifer Solar, in a statement announcing the launch of the company’s Energy Portal.

Martifer Solar says data from its portal can facilitate the provision of O&M services to provide "preventative, correction and condition-based maintenance" of its installations.

The Energy Portal will be on display at the Martifer Solar booth at next week’s Intersolar Europe, in Munich.
