Only PERC

Module technology: EGing has made the transition to using only passivated emitter rear contact (PERC) technology, leaving behind older cell concepts. The company has developed a frameless glass-glass p-type bifacial module called Janus-II, to be launched in January 2018.
As of January 2018, Chinese manufacturer EGing will cease making BSF modules, and focus all of its 2 GW production capacity on PERC technologies.

At the beginning of November 2017, Chinese manufacturer JinkoSolar achieved a world record 23.45% cell efficiency for monocrystalline silicon-based passivated emitter rear contact (PERC) technology.
