Spanish PV production equipment provider Mondragon Assembly has announced the opening of new headquarters in the US city of Chicago, Illinois.
The company explained that the objective was “to reinforce its global positioning”, and that this new milestone “will allow it to approach this market with greater proximity to its international clients, to whom from now on it will be able to offer a local, closer and more personalized service and support”.
The company's expansion into the US market is taking place at a key moment in which a great deal of movement is taking place in sectors such as automotive, solar and energy storage, said Axel Amezquita, the head of the new headquarters.
In addition to the new US office, Mondragon is present in France, Germany, Mexico, China and Brazil with production plants that encompass the entire value chain. It also operates commercial and service offices in India and the MENA region.
Mondragon became the outsourcing partner of Swiss solar manufacturer Meyer Burger‘s Smartwire Connection Technology (SWCT) in 2018.
