MLPE set for expansion

Booming demand in distributed PV (DPV) rooftop systems, greater energy yield, module-level monitoring, enhanced safety and rapid shutdown requirements are all expected to act as tailwinds for increased adoption of microinverters and power optimizers – collectively termed module-level power electronics (MLPE). IHS Markit forecasts that globally, over 70GW will be shipped in the next five years.
