The PV market is in flux. The summer 2024 slump is subsiding but reports of bankruptcies and insolvency are coming in. While installation figures have been promising, not least in Germany, the market is in trouble and manufacturers are concerned by low prices.

 Remarkably, module prices continued to plummet in August 2024. Wholesalers are adjusting prices, especially for high-efficiency modules, and spot-market and utility-scale project prices have continued to slide in recent months. Installers of smaller arrays have had some protection from wholesalers and well-known web stores, and newer, high-performance products have compensated for losses on older stock.A …
