Masked engineer highlights strangest mistakes in solar deployment

A Brazilian engineer on Instagram, always wearing a mask, has become a sensation in the Brazilian solar industry, attracting 12 sponsors with a mission to educate companies and consumers about common errors to avoid in rooftop PV installations.

California curtailing more solar than ever before

Curtailment of power output increases when solar generation surpasses transmission capacity.

Hoymiles introduces three-phase solar microinverters

Chinese manufacturer Hoymiles has announced the North American launch of its new inverters, which are designed for commercial and industrial installations.

Global PV must grow to 5,400 GW by 2030 to limit global warming

The International Renewable Energy Agency said in a recent report that the scale of the energy transition needs ‘urgent’ acceleration to meet Paris Agreement climate emergency targets. Solar PV deployment, in particular, must ramp up and increase fourfold by the end of the decade.
