EU AD duties on Chinese PV imports: A turning point for China?

SMA sees revenue drop nearly 50% in Q1

Germany’s SMA Solar Technology reported a 47.6% drop in sales to €212.3 million in the first three months of the year as the company struggled with subsidy cuts in major markets, the still unresolved debt crisis and the possibility of punitive duties on Chinese modules in Europe.

Germany calls for "conciliatory solution" to provisional AD PV duties

The EU anti-dumping Committee today met in Brussels to discuss the EU Commission’s plans to impose average provisional AD duties of 47% on Chinese PV imports on June 6, among other trade cases. The outcome of the consultation session was not revealed. Meanwhile, Germany has called for a “conciliatory solution.”
