Schletter Group ceases production in Germany

In the future, the solar mountings manufacturer itself will only manufacture in China. The cooperation of the Schletter Group with specialized production partners in Germany and other countries will continue, however. With the end of production in Kirchdorf near Munich, jobs will be lost. The company is seeking proximity to the global growth markets.

BayWa commissions 25 MW of floating PV arrays in the Netherlands

Floating PV installations in Asia may be much larger but the trend is catching on in the EU and, pending a supportive regulatory environment and incentives, the technology could offer several dozen gigawatts of generation capacity in Europe.

Is Eskom turning to solar?

The South African utility has issued a 20-strong tender for 50 kW solar inverters and mounting structures, to be used in four power plants.
