Brazil’s faltering manufacturing ambition

Imported modules sit in Aldo Solar’s warehouse in Maringá. In July, Aldo signed a distribution agreement with Chinese manufacturer Trina Solar. In 2018, almost 90% of all solar cells coming into Brazil were imported “already assembled into modules or panels.”
