Tom Rommens worked as an environmental consultant and project coordinator, mainly active in soil remediation, nature development, waste management, spatial planning, environmental impact assessments. He was Sustainability Manager at Saint-Gobain Gyproc (Benelux) and responsible for the sustainable development strategy, which included resource efficiency, recycling, environmental labelling schemes and LCA for construction materials and buildings. Since 2019 he is working for VITO as a researcher and project coordinator, on topics related to sustainable materials management, LCA and circular business models.
