Philip Shen is a Managing Director, Senior Research Analyst at ROTH, specializing in equity research coverage of the cleantech sector, focusing on renewables. Since 2010, he has established a strong reputation and network within the industry, allowing him to stay at the forefront of developments impacting solar stocks and the broader industry. Various financial media publications, including the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s, have sought his insights. In 2023, Institutional Investor magazine placed him as a “Runner Up” for his Clean Energy coverage.

Prior to joining Roth Capital Partners, Mr. Shen served as a Research Associate at J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns. His exceptional performance was recognized with notable awards, including the StarMine Analyst Award for being the No. 1 Earnings Estimator of Semiconductors and Semiconductor Equipment in 2015, as well as the Thomson Reuters Award for being the No. 1 Stock Picker of Semiconductors and Semiconductor Equipment in 2016.
