Sheila Davis is the Executive Director at Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition (SVTC), a non-profit organization engaged in research, advocacy and organizing to promote human health and environmental justice in response to the rapid growth of the high-tech industry. Under Davis’ tenure, SVTC launched the Sustainable Solar Initiative, and released the report “Toward a Just and Sustainable Solar Industry,” which outlined the environmental impacts of the solar industry. In 2009 SVTC also launched the Solar Scorecard which ranks solar manufacturers on their environmental programs and practices.
