“By the end of 2020, we will have built a solar capacity of more than 100 MW in the Netherlands. This includes particularly innovative projects such as a solar power system for a hybrid power plant. All this makes us one of the leading builders and operators of solar systems in the Netherlands”, says Ingo Alphéus, CEO of BELECTRIC Solar & Battery GmbH.
“In the context of the structural implementation of our current 250-MW portfolio in the Netherlands, we are pleased to have found an excellent construction partner in BELECTRIC. In view of the increasingly significant IPP strategy at Kronos Solar, we appreciate strategic partnerships that ensure efficiency and high quality”, states Dr. Alexander Arcache, CEO of Kronos Solar Projects GmbH. “In the core markets of the Netherlands, France, the UK and Germany, we are currently developing projects with a total output of approximately two gigawatts.”
Besides the two projects for Kronos Solar, BELECTRIC is presently constructing a solar power system with an installed capacity of 38 MW for Vattenfall Duurzame Energie N.V.’s ‘Energiepark Haringvliet Zuid’. The hybrid system, which consists of a wind park (22 MW), battery storage (12 MW) and open-space photovoltaic system, is currently taking shape around 30 kilometres southwest of Rotterdam on Goeree-Overflakkee Island in South Holland Province.
