Guided by a customer-centric approach, the upgraded system is designed for the operating conditions of emerging markets, where high temperatures, unstable grids, voltage fluctuations, phase loss, and frequent power outages remain common challenges.

At the center of the solution are itel Energy’s upgraded residential inverters, which feature a wider input voltage and current range than standard models, allowing them to support different PV system configurations and changing grid conditions. Improvements to power conversion and system control are designed to increase energy efficiency while supporting safety and operational stability.

In the event of phase loss, the system can automatically switch to an available phase and continue operating. It can also accept multiple power sources, including the national grid, private power stations, and diesel generators, and switch between them according to user-defined priorities.

To improve performance in hot climates, the inverters incorporate a heat-dissipation system with a distinctive airflow design. According to itel Energy, the design reduces internal heat buildup and helps maintain stable operation under heavy loads.

“The inverters have already been validated in the Middle East, with no failures reported during nine months of sales,” said James Chen, Global Head of Product Management at itel Energy. “The upgraded inverters can withstand temperatures above 50°C while maintaining quiet operation. We have been receiving positive feedback from users, installers, and partners.”

The battery is another critical part of the solution. itel Energy batteries are built with 100% authentic Grade A cells sourced from leading manufacturers. Each battery undergoes more than 50 tests to verify its quality, safety, durability, and long-term performance.

itel Energy also integrates AI-powered scheduling into its home energy storage systems to help users optimize energy consumption and reduce electricity costs. By combining weather forecasts with an analysis of household loads and usage patterns, the system can intelligently plan when to charge, store, and use energy. This enables users to maximize solar self-consumption, maintain sufficient backup power, and use grid electricity more efficiently through a convenient, user-friendly app.

The itel Energy app connects the inverter and battery into a single, visible home energy storage system. Through the app, users can monitor photovoltaic generation, battery status, household consumption, grid power, and system operating conditions in real time.

Clear energy-flow information allows users to understand where their electricity comes from, how it is being used, and how much stored energy remains available.

“Our systems are inspired by and built for people in emerging markets,” added James Chen. “They reflect the real energy needs of households across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. We are building a residential energy ecosystem that delivers reliability, convenience, and greater control over how energy is generated, stored, and used. Our goal is clear: power for progress, energy for better lives.”
