The DGM-S460 is a rugged utility- grade photovoltaic (PV) inverter that offers a unique architecture and a market-leading 460W power output in the micro-inverter space.

The technology employed in the Direct Grid micro-inverter permits unparalleled customization options, increased flexibility and connection to the highest power PV modules available on the market.

“Achievement of UL1741 now propels the DGM-S460 into the North American solar market, after a much anticipated wait,” said Direct Grid president Frank Cooper. “This is another significant milestone in our ‘go to market’ strategy, and we are on schedule for our global product launch in 2010.”

The DGM-S460 will be distributed in the United States initially through OEM partner Synergy Energy in New Jersey. Additional partner agreements are in the works and will be announced in upcoming weeks.

With no micro-inverter competitor capable of handling more than 280 watts with a single inverter architecture, the DGM-S460 affords customers the choice for the first time ever of selecting the known advantages of micro-inverters on high power modules up to 460 watts, or conversely, pairing two solar modules per micro-inverter up to 230 watts each.

Direct Grid is showcasing the UL listed DGM-S460 and other micro-inverter solutions at Solar Power International 2010 in Los Angeles, CA, October 12-14th at booth 4101.
