Elettronica Santerno signs a contract for the supply of a Storage System for Mobility in Italy
Elettronica Santerno has signed a contract for the supply of a batteries and inverter system for a smart grid in Northern Italy. Santerno’s cabin, composed of inverters and lithium batteries, will be integrated in a smart grid system together with renewable energy generators and charging stations for electric vehicles.
The product developed by Santerno will operate as a peak shaving and load shifting control unit. The supply, provided for the Energy Management Division of Siemens Italia, envisions a complex system for inspecting the performance of both batteries and inverters.
“Following a series of other plants recently built by Santerno in foreign countries, this interesting application is installed on the domestic market, a few kilometers from our headquarters in Castel Guelfo. The renewable energy and energy management market places Italy in a dominant position with favorable prospects for the months to follow” said Vito Nardi, CEO of Santerno.
