ESNA 2019 keynotes kick off with leaders from the world’s fourth and fifth largest economies, Germany and California respectively. Lt. Governor of California Eleni Kounalakis and German Energy Minister Andreas Feicht will address the politics of the energy transition to a carbon-free system. The next day leaders from Enel, GE, X the moonshot factory, and Malta, Inc. will address the role of innovation in solving really big challenges, and LADWP will share their vision for rapidly transforming their utility.

Thursday at ESNA kicks off Safety day, with a historic panel featuring Fluence, Arizona Public Service Company, and Ford Motor Company discussing safety management in a fast-changing technology landscape. Following will be a variety of safety related conference sessions including safety planning, standards, and risk mitigation.

“When we launched ESNA seven years ago, we had a vision for establishing a marketplace where bold leaders would gather to make change happen,” says Janice Lin, ESNA Chair and Co-Founder. “This year’s lineup of changemakers is exemplary in this regard. We are thrilled to be hosting such a diverse array of global energy storage leaders and market makers who are leading the charge in transitioning the stodgy North American grid to the twenty-first century decarbonized power grid of the future.”

ESNA 2019 will feature over 100 exhibitors from startups to the biggest names in energy, and host 2500 delegates from over 30 countries. The event will facilitate global collaboration between developers, utility executives, energy users, policy makers, technology providers, auto OEMs, and stakeholders to responsibly and safely advance the fast-growing energy storage ecosystem.

ESNA is grateful to its 2019 Platinum Utility Sponsor: Los Angeles Department of Water and Power; its Platinum Sponsors: Con Edison Battery Storage, Doosan Gridtech, Energy Vault, Fluence, IBEW-NECA and Kore Power; its Gold Sponsors: EastPenn Manufacturing, EDF Renewables, Greensmith Energy, a Wärtsilä company, Li-Ion Tamer, LG Chem, SoCalGas; and its Silver Sponsors: DNV GL, GE, Munich Re, Maysteel, PXiSE, Southern California Edison, and Trane for contributing to the success of this year’s program.
