Jinko ESS and UNDP Advancing Sustainable Public Transportation in the Middle East

Jinko ESS has successfully completed a significant energy storage project in the Middle East. This project features a 540kWh SunTera AC-Coupled Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) integrated with a 250kW photovoltaic (PV) system powered by JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo modules.

The system provides electrical bus charging stations with a complete energy supply, ensuring reliable, uninterrupted daily operations despite local limited grid availability and frequent power outages. By securing a stable, sustainable power supply, this project is crucial for enabling continuous charging and operation of the electric bus fleet.

In addition to powering the bus station, the surplus solar generation is supplied to Municipal Government, further enhancing the project’s impact and supporting the local community with clean and renewable energy.

Financed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), this project represents a significant advancement in eco-friendly infrastructure and travel options, and energy resilience in the Middle East.
