KOSTAL Solar Electric – The new PIKO 36 EPC for large projects

Share

The new PIKO 36 EPC from KOSTAL Solar Electric is the optimum solution for project work. A peak output of 36 kVA enables the further reduction of costs in proportion with installed system performance. What’s more, the latest addition to the PIKO family has been adapted to the requirements of larger systems while retaining the major benefits of the PIKO string inverters.

The cost-optimized project inverter, with a maximum efficiency of 98.7% and optional overvoltage protection for AC, DC and communication, is especially well-suited for large projects. In such cases, the new certified grid and system protection provided by the integrated PIKO EPC Off Switch board means there is no need for expensive circuit breakers.

As you would expect from KOSTAL, the PIKO 36 EPC is quick and easy to install. With a maximum DC volt-age of 1100 V, string lengths with up to 25 modules are possible, enabling power losses and costs to be reduced. The IP 65 housing protection category also allows safe operation both indoors and out. Six DC inputs with SUNCLIX connectors allow the modules to be connected easily and without any tools. The inputs are also fused with maintenance-free string fuses.

Communication is key to the PIKO 36 EPC. The communication board from the current PIKO series is used here too. Two network connections and one RS 485 connection are fitted as standard.

Especially well-suited to large projects, the new string inverter is now available.
