Motech receive award for multicrystalline silicon cell

MOTECH Industries, Inc. (TWO: 6244TW) (“MOTECH”) has received the 2011 Outstanding Photonic Product Award for our multicrystalline silicon IM156 B3 solar cell from the prestigious Taiwan Photonic Industry and Technology Development Association (“PIDA”).

The newest generation of the IM156 B3 was recently released to the market and has been able to achieve an impressive 17.4 percent maximum efficiency rating.
This is truly impressive because multicrystalline solar cells typically have an average efficiency in the upper-16 percent range.
