New Supervisory Board members at Sunways

Following a relevant suggestion from the company, Xiaofeng Peng (Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China) and Dr. Yuepeng Wan (Xinju, Jiangxi, People’s Republic of China) were appointed as members of the Supervisory Board of Sunways AG (SWW:GR, SWWG.DE, ISIN DE0007332207) by the local court of Freiburg im Breisgau.

Xiaofeng Peng will take on the office of Chairman, Dr. Wan that of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Additional member of the three-person board is Bing Zhu (Shanghai, People’s Republic of China). The new Supervisory Board members had to be court appointed upon the resignation of Otto Mayer and Andreas Görwitz who had stepped down from office of their own volition for personal reasons as of 31 January 2013. The appointment of the two new Supervisory Board members by the local court will be valid until the next annual general meeting.

Xiaofeng Peng is the Executive Chairman of the Board of LDK Solar Co., Ltd., the parent company of LDK Solar Group. He founded the company in 2005. Dr. Wan is the Chief Technology Officer of LDK Solar Co., Ltd. He has a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Aachen University of Technology, Germany. Bing Zhu is the Chief Strategy Officer of LDK Solar Co., Ltd. and was elected to the Supervisory Board by the shareholders at the last annual general meeting of Sunways AG on 30 August 2012.
