This milestone marks PHONO's breakthrough in Europe's high-end distributed energy market, further solidifying its leadership in integrated PV-storage applications. Notably, PHONO's PV carport system has obtained authoritative certification from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBT), meeting the highest standards in safety, environmental compliance, and technical performance for the German market. The signing ceremony was attended by Zaifeng Zhong, General Manager of SUMEC PHONO ; Georg Sterne, General Manager of Solea; Michael Vogl, General Manager of NowaX; Wei Tao,the Founder of Pax and other partner representatives.
DIBT Certification Demonstrates Technical Excellence
As the German federal government's designated authority for building technology certification, DIBT approval is regarded as the “technical passport” to Europe's high-end markets. Its standards encompass building safety, environmental protection, thermal and cold resistance, fire performance, and more. Products certified by DIBT must not only comply with stringent technical design and material standards but also demonstrate excellence in long-term reliability, quality control, and after-sales service. PHONO's PV carport solution successfully passed DIBT's rigorous audits, earning this critical certification thanks to its outstanding structural stability, weather resistance, and safety features.
For this certification project, CLEVANA Consulting, a local professional consultancy with deep expertise in the European building standards system and extensive practical experience, assisted PHONO in efficiently navigating the certification process, ensuring smooth approval across all technical evaluations.
16MW TOPCon Carport Project: Technology Empowers Green Mobility
PHONO signed a 16MW PV carport agreement with Solea. The project will exclusively utilize PHONO's Draco series modules, which have passed residual stress and impact tests, demonstrating exceptional weather resistance to extreme conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, strong winds, and heavy snow—making them ideal for outdoor carport applications. Additionally, PHONO's specially designed mounting structure for PV carports features waterproofing, safety, convenience, and cost-effectiveness.
Georg Sterne remarked, “We are honored to partner with PHONO and adopt its DIBT-certified PV carport solution. The system's structural stability, weather resistance, and safety performance meet the industry's highest standards. We believe this collaboration will set a new benchmark for green transportation infrastructure in Europe.”
Solea GmbH, headquartered in Plattling, Germany, is a leading EPC company specializing in end-to-end PV solutions, including project development, design, financing, construction, and O&M.
100MW Strategic Procurement Agreement: Pioneering New Energy Models for Automotive Logistics
PHONO also signed a 100MW PV carport strategic procurement framework agreement with NowaX Energie Beteiligung GmbH. The project owner, a leading European automotive logistics company, will deploy integrated energy solutions combining PV carports and storage systems across five of its 20 logistics hubs in Europe. The first phase will cover five key logistics centers in Germany, with an estimated annual power generation exceeding 100 million kWh, equivalent to reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 80,000 tons from coal-fired power generation.
Michael Vogl stated, “We selected PHONO as our sole module supplier due to its compliance with Germany's high standards for building materials. Moreover, PHONO's comprehensive expertise in full-scenario carport solutions and its professional, localized support have been instrumental in ensuring the project's smooth progress.”
Localized Services Ensure Project Success
During the signing, Sammi Lyu, Regional Director of PHONO, emphasized, “Since launching our PV carport solution in partnership with WattKraft in Germany, we have received strong market recognition. As a long-term partner in the German market, we highly value our collaborations with Solea and NowaX. PHONO will leverage the strengths of our European team to ensure strict adherence to DIBT standards at every stage—from design to implementation—delivering safe, reliable, and high-return PV carport solutions.”
Deepening European Strategy for a Zero-Carbon Future
At the ceremony, Mr. Zaifeng Zhong highlighted, “PV carport solutions are a core focus of PHONO's ‘Distributed Energy+' strategy. These projects not only validate our technical capabilities but also reflect our European partners' trust in PHONO's systematic service excellence. Moving forward, we will continue to expand the application of our innovative technologies across diverse scenarios, working with European partners to explore integrated ‘PV-storage-charging' models.”
