Photovoltaic System & Grid Integration Forum 2011
The forum organized by JFPS Group will be held from November 8 to 9, 2011 in Beijing with plenary meetings and track sessions.
The 2nd Photovoltaic System&Grid Integration Forum organized by JFPS Group will gather more than 200 PV leaders and pioneers to bring the latest trends in the industry and will invite governmental officials, power groups, PV system integrators, PV cell & module manufacturers, certification companies, PV components and materials providers to participate in.
The key topics that will be brought to light include:
- Current Status of China PV Industry and Suggestion for Its Future Development
- Bottlenecks, Solving Methods and Policy Suggestion for Expanding Photovoltaic Projects in China
- Current Situation and Development Trend of PV Power Grid Integration Standard
- The Development of Overseas PV Industry
- Optimal Design of Large Scale PV Power Plants
- New Cell Technology & PV System
- PV Projects
- Construction & Operation
PV power generation industry is the world’s fastest growing high-tech industries since the 1980s. PV as a key global renewable energy, will make great contributions to national energy strategy adjustment, transformation of power generation and environmental protection.
Grid connected PV power generation has 80 percent market share in world’s PV power market. Developing grid connected PV power is an essential way to develop PV power application in large scales.
As a major manufacturer of PV cells & modules, China accounted for 40 percent of global production and sales. But for a long time, Chinese PV industry has developed under a model of “two outward sides”. Nearly 80 percent raw materials and manufacturing equipments are imported from overseas countries.
Meanwhile, more than 90 percent PV cell & module are exported to foreign countries. China’s PV industry is highly relied on overseas market. However, since the first half of this year, PV modules price has already fallen 25 percent compared with the price in 4th quarter of 2010.
And because of the financial crisis, some European countries like Germany and Italy have cut the subsidies paid to the power companies. And some PV projects were also stopped. Those exacerbated the price war in the downstream market. The global PV industry suffered a severe test over the past few months. And the market outlook was obscure.
While, the falling in modules’ prices brings opportunities to domestic market. Previously, the high price of PV modules has been restricting the application of PV power generation in China. And China’s PV products have mainly been exported to Europe.
Today, the falling cost of PV cell & modules may promote more domestic enterprises to use solar energy to generate power. And the PV grid parity is expected to reach in advance.
The total installed capacity of Chinese PV power generation target in the 12th Five Year Plan will be raised to 10GW, which has been submitted to the State Council for approval. National Energy Administration set the tariff through PV concession projects.
Two round biddings have been conducted in year 2009 and 2010. And the 3rd round bidding will begin in the next half year with expected scale of 500 MW – 1000 MW.
