Solar-Fabrik AG enhances product portfolio by ramping up new fab in Wismar, Germany

Solar-Fabrik AG took over the former fab 2 of Centrosolar in Wismar on August 1, 2014, and continues to produce the module series Professional and Vision as formerly known from Centrosolar.

Together with the Premium Modules made at its Freiburg fab, Solar-Fabrik AG offers an attractive product portfolio at an annual capacity of 300 megawatts.
Solar-Fabrik Wismar GmbH as a 100%-subsidiary of Solar-Fabrik AG on August 1st, 2014, took over the former fab 2 of Centrosolar Sonnenstromfabrik in Wismar as well as the modules previously certified by Centrosolar. Besides the standard foil-modules series for rooftop and BIPV named ,Professional’, this also includes the glass-glass modules named ,Vision’. Both module series are now available under the brand of Solar-Fabrik, with sales and after-sales service through Solar-Fabrik AG.
Solar-Fabrik AG’s engagement in Wismar was driven by a continuous healthy demand for modules ‘made-in-Germany’ combined with the unique opportunity at the Wismar fab, enabling a kick-start with an ongoing production at competitive cost. The capacity increase to 300 megawatts combined with the attractive product portfolio around the glass-glass ‘Vision’ modules with outstanding durability and the top-quality ‘Professional’ modules clearly deliver the message to all customers and partners that Solar-Fabrik AG continues to be fully committed to the European market.
