Sonnedix acquires 2.3 MW of solar PV operating capacity in Japan
On August 8th, 2020, Sonnedix Japan K.K. (Sonnedix Japan) completed the acquisition on behalf of the Sonnedix Group of companies (Sonnedix Group) of a 2.3 MW solar PV plant in the Mie prefecture, centre of Japan.
The Plant has a PPA with Chubu Electric Power under the Feed-in-Tariff scheme. The plant began operations in July 2016.
“This acquisition contributes to strengthening our position in Japan, where we have a total controlled capacity surpassing 500 MW. It also demonstrates our commitment to optimize each investment for the long-term, as we continue to actively seek opportunities to expand our global footprint” said Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix.
With this new acquisition, Sonnedix Japan manages 135.4 MW of operational capacity in the country, in addition over 380 MW currently in construction and/or development.
