This position has been created to open up new distribution channels for lithium-ion storage systems produced by the Wittenberg-based company. Mr Geib, who has over 13 years of experience in the energy industry, is due to take up office on 1 June 2017. This will see TESVOLT expand its international business, which mainly focuses on commercial, as well as off-grid applications.

New opportunities in international markets

“We are looking forward to continuing the consistent internationalisation of our sales operations. Michael Geib is a renowned expert who will be able to bring our products to customers around the world on a large scale,” says Daniel Hannemann, Managing Director of TESVOLT. TESVOLT has also been able to attract Bernd Malorny, the former CEO of Osram in Malaysia to strengthen the sales expansion.
Michael Geib joins TESVOLT from Sunfire, where for the last two years he has been responsible for structuring international sales.

Previously, he successfully transformed the sales model at Q-Cells, and significantly boosted the company's brand. “Michael Geib has been active in the German renewable energies industry since its beginnings, and is now ready for the next challenge – the battery market,” explains Hannemann.

An industry insider for the global sale of battery storage systems

In March, TESVOLT unveiled its new high-voltage battery, which meets the latest safety standards and boasts a service life of 30 years. The Active Battery Optimizer technology developed at TESVOLT actively balances charging currents between the cells and the battery modules, enabling battery storage systems to achieve 98% efficiency.

“TESVOLT’s battery management system is a unique technology. The product is mature, fully certified and the ideal solution – as the global demand for energy storage systems is high and set to increase further in years to come. We are now setting out to open up new markets for sales outside of Europe. I am very much looking forward to this project,” says Geib.
