Turkey – first pv plant was officially connected to the grid
Mission completed – all regulatory hurdles were overcome to connect PV plants to the national grid in Turkey.
On October 22, 2012, the Turkish distribution authority TETA? gave officially the final permission to connect a pv plant to the public grid. This first PV plant, a 300 KW test plant within the technology park of Gazi University, Ankara, was implemented by Halk Enerj.
Another roof top system with a size of 420 KW at Hacettepe University completed by Halk Enerji will get an official permission soon. As no hurdles exist in Turkey to build pv plants up to 500 KW, Halk Enerji ordered another 1,5 MW modules from Bosch Solar Energy AG.
