AC Energy to invest in PV in Bangladesh
AC Energy has revealed plans to invest in solar projects throughout Asia, including Bangladesh, by forming a joint venture with Germany’s ib vogt GmbH.
AC Energy, UPC Solar set up new Asia-Pacific joint venture
Philippines-based AC Energy will work with UPC Solar Asia Pacific – the solar energy unit of Hong Kong-headquartered UPC Renewables – to build more than 1 GW of solar in the coming years, with an initial focus on Asian markets such as India, South Korea and Taiwan.
IFC anchors green bond for 5 GW of renewables in east Asia and Pacific
World Bank sister organization the IFC has made a $75 million commitment to a green bond recently issued by Philippines based developer AC Energy. Vietnam’s sub-standard financial sector performance has prompted the Asian Development Bank to suggest green bonds could best leverage the country’s renewable energy targets.
Sungrow bags 201 MW solar project in Vietnam
The Chinese-based manufacturer has closed a deal for the supply of its inverter solutions to the large-scale solar project in southern Vietnam. Sungrow says it has deployed a total of 1 GW of solar projects in Vietnam.
