Chile: Lowest bid in electric auction reaches $21.48/MWh

The bid was submitted by Enel Generación Chile, a subsidiary of Italian energy giant Enel. The second lowest bid was presented by GPG Solar Chile, a unit of Spanish company Gas Natural Fenosa. At the auction, 2,200 GWh will be allocated, successful bids will be publicly announced on November 3rd.

Meyer Burger scores 200 MW bifacial HJT supply deal in Italy

Meyer Burger has signed a deal to supply 200 MW of bifacial heterojunction (HJT) solar production equipment to an undisclosed Italian PV manufacturer, in a deal valued at roughly CHF 45 million ($45.4 million).

Banco do Nordeste finances 482 MW of solar projects in Brazil

The Brazilian bank has agreed to finance three PV projects totaling 350 MW of the Italian energy giant Enel, and a 132 MW project under development by Norwegian companies Scatec Solar and a Statoil.
