The Italian developer and largest shareholder of inverter maker Elettronica Santerno, said on Friday it would delay its financial results for the first half. Its statement also revealed the loss of a contract to build a 120 MW solar plant in Spain and a $5 million loss linked to another project in the US.
The Italian solar developer will provide inverters through its unit Elettronica Santerno.
Net proceeds from the bond issue will be used to finance the company’s international expansion and the relaunch of Elettronica Santerno, the unit specializing in inverter production.
The Italian inverter maker will supply its devices for a large-scale PV project under development in Nevada.
The Italian solar company has secured an engineering contract to build two PV plants totaling 50 MW in the United States. Furthermore, Enertronica has set up a new subsidiary in Delaware.
