The effects of fishery photovoltaic plants on water temperature, surrounding micro-climate

Researchers in China have estimated the effects of utility scale solar parks built on fisheries and have found these facilities have an “unobvious” heating effect on the surrounding environment. They ascertained that both air and water temperature are slightly increased by the PV plant, although with a very limited impact on the local micro-climate.

Another 120 MW of solar aquaculture in China

A 120 MW solar plant located in a fishery near Cixi, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, was recently completed. The plant, which has secured a tariff of RMB0.95 ($0.12)/kWh, is the second phase of a 320 MW project owned by Chinese developer Hangzhou Fengling.

JinkoSolar signs 100 MW supply deal in China

The Chinese PV manufacturer has agreed to provide its Eagle series solar panels for undisclosed solar fishery projects being developed by Jing Bei New Energy. It did not disclose the terms of the deal.
