Covid-19 hits to demand and bill payment collection have worsened the plight of the nation’s already debt-crippled power distribution companies, prompting the government to order an exceptional relaxation of lending limits.
The prime minister again emphasized the need for India to develop its own solar manufacturing industry and also urged officials to get on with plans to make the region of Ladakh carbon-neutral.

The program will be launched during RE-INVEST 2017, India on December 8. The event will hold several other sessions, including the launch of International Solar Alliance (ISA). Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron are likely to attend the ISA Founding Ceremony.
The solar tracking specialist has signed expanded partnership deals with five local companies that will increase the volume of its steel produced locally to 80%, thereby lowering shipments into India by as much as 50%.
