Myanmar switches on 20 MW of solar
Green Power Energy has successfully commissioned the Taung Daw Gwin solar project in Myit Thar, Myanmar. Its Gold Energy subsidiary won a bid to develop the 20 MW array in a utility-scale PV tender.
130 MW solar project announced in Myanmar
Thailand-based Modern Energy Management (MEM) says it has teamed up with an undisclosed investor to develop a 130 MWp solar PV project in Myanmar. It is expected to come online in Q4 2019. Overall, the country is said to have a large-scale solar pipeline totaling 1.5 GW.
Basic Energy buys stake in 2 Thai EPC firms working on 220 MW Myanmar PV project
The Philippines-based energy company has signed the share purchase agreements to acquire a 15% stake in two Thai companies, which are building a 220 MW utility-scale solar power project in Myanmar.
