Australian state targets 1.5 GW of renewables and storage in latest tender round

As part of its long-term plan to transition from coal-fired power generation to clean energy New South Wales has launched another renewable energy tender seeking at least 950 MW of wind and solar capacity and 550 MW of long-duration storage.

Solar to get largest share in Slovakian ‘renewables’ auctions

PV is expected to claim 44% of the clean energy capacity needed to generate 2.4 TWh of electricity in the next two years but potentially gas driven co-generation is also set for big gains. The Ministry of Economy could announce the first auction this year. Energy company Slovenský plynárenský priemysel will be the off-taker.

Tariffs in Greece’s PV tender hit €62.97 per MWh

Greece’s energy regulator has published the successful solar PV and wind bids, which were awarded under the country’s renewable energy tender on Monday. The lowest tariff awarded was €62.97 per MWh for a solar project.
