SB Energy has started building a 22.4 MW solar array in Miyazaki prefecture, southern Japan.

The Tokyo-based developer and MUL Energy Investment — a unit of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance — have purchased a project company from conglomerate Marubeni.
SB Energy — the renewables development unit of Japanese telecoms giant SoftBank — will connect the project to the grid from the start of February with partner Mitsui & Co.
