The smarter E Europe postponed to October

Due to the Covid-19 crisis the organizers of Intersolar and ees Europe, the largest photovoltaic and storage trade fairs in Europe, have decided to postpone it again. The Smarter E Europe will now take place from October 6th to 8th, 2021. However, the various awards will be presented digitally in July.

The Smarter E Europe postponed to July

The organizers of Intersolar and Ees Europe, in Munich, the largest photovoltaic and storage trade fairs in Europe, have decided to postpone the two events by six weeks. They hope that in the second half of the year there will be fewer restrictions and that the summer will have a dampening effect on the coronavirus pandemic.

Intersolar Europe canceled

Another big solar event has joined the list of those canceled because of Covid-19. The next edition of The Smarter E event will take place next year.

President Elect, GSC talks about new ISA partnership, plans for global solar promotion

In a significant development, two major international solar coalitions – the Global Solar Council (GSC) and the International Solar Alliance (ISA) – signed an MoU for the cooperation and collaboration of solar growth in all ISA-member countries. The smarter E show: A wealth of innovations rewarded

At the smarter E-Intersolar Europe trade show this week, awards have been given to the technologies driving the energy transition to a low carbon future. Prizes include the Intersolar Award, recognizing PV technology; the EES prize for storage innovation; and the smarter E awards – one of which was given to an off-grid agricultural project in Australia.

Intersolar: Indian minister outlines plan to become global renewables leader

Underlining India’s commitment to becoming the global renewable energy leader, Shri Anand Kumar, Secretary of India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, said the country plans 500 GW of capacity by 2030. He also underlined India’s plans for becoming a solar and storage manufacturing hub; and said the International Solar Alliance needs to widen its membership.

Intersolar Europe, The Smarter E kicks off to a positive start

The 2018 Smarter E event, of which Intersolar Europe is now a part, opened its doors today in Munich, Germany, with positive news that visitor numbers are up. From the conference sessions, the big topics were PPAs and unsubsidized solar. Meanwhile, the Indian Government made some interesting announcements, and kerfless solar is on track to become the next disruptive technology.
