French renewables company Voltalia has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement from Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale for a 10 MW solar plant and Germany’s Enerparc has signed a long term deal with Norwegian energy company Statkraft for a solar park planned in Bavaria.

The French renewables group has taken over a specialist in C&I rooftop solar and launched a share purchase offer to enable its employees to benefit from the growth of the company.

Voltalia has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement from French retailer Boulanger for power generated by a 5 MW project. The off-taker has also committed to buying electricity from new wind and solar plants to be operated by the French developer.

The African property developer has completed a 1 MW rooftop PV array at an industrial park in Nairobi. The installation is its first solar project in Kenya and part of a planned 30 MW rollout at Tatu City, its new mixed-use development in the capital.

French developer Voltalia has secured an $18.1 million loan for its 50 MW Kopere solar project. The plant will sell power to utility KPLC under a 20-year PPA. The country’s Rural Electrification Authority is also tendering 1.1 MW of solar plants associated with minigrids in off-grid regions.

The news comes after Suntech recently announced a separate 116 MW module supply deal, with both orders related to Egypt’s mega Benban complex

A PV power plant will be located in Kopere, western Kenya, and will deliver electricity to local power provider KPLC

Both projects are located in the region of Var and are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

The French wind and solar power developer saw its turnover increase significantly last year. The company is completing the integration of Portuguese PV company Martifer Solar, which it acquired last summer.
