Construction begins on 32 MW solar farm in New Zealand

New Zealand renewables company Lodestone Energy’s plans to develop an initial suite of five large-scale solar farms with a combined generation capacity of more than 365 GWh per annum has reached another milestone with construction beginning on the second of the projects.

Finance floods in as global investors expand Australian solar portfolios

Australia’s bounteous land and sun, combined with its new energy-transition-focused government, make it attractive for international renewables investors. Two such players are Greek industrial conglomerate Mytilineos and Philippines-based energy company ACEN Corp., both of which have recently announced further large-scale investment to expand their Australian solar portfolios.

Molycop signs major solar-wind PPA in Australia

The Australian arm of global mining manufacturer Molycop has signed a long-term solar-wind offtake deal with electricity retailer Flow Power. Under the new partnership, Molycop will gain access to the ARENA Demand Response program.
