Is residential battery storage becoming a “no brainer” in Australia?

Australian solar analysts tip the residential storage market to see 10,000 units installed this year. In 2018, that is likely to triple to 30,000 electrical storage systems.

Why is solar+storage becoming such a compelling proposition for the market? And what is it that will set one residential storage system apart from the competition as numerous suppliers descend on the market? How different are the storage systems on the market? Are there individual systems for particular applications and how does this affect sales?

These questions and more we will discuss in the next free pv magazine webinar particularly focused on the Australian market. The webinar will provide participants the opportunity to ask question of and comment on key issues impacting the Australian residential storage market today.

For this webinar pv magazine has brought together two first-class experts:

Leading Australian analyst Warwick Johnston, from Sunwiz, will join the webinar to provide exclusive insights into what is driving the stellar growth currently underway in the Australian storage market, and what can be expected in the coming years.

pv magazine’s initiative partner on the webinar Senec will provide insights into its entry into the Australian market earlier this year with Sven Albersmeier-Braun joining the discussion alongside Senec Australia Managing Director Ian Parkinson.

The webinar will also address:

  • Battery changing strategies and payback times: how multiple charging per day can deliver an optimal outcome for Australian homes;
  • The value of time shifting: how storage can address times of peak electricity demand challenges and slash electricity bills, particularly when coupled with Time of Use billing;
  • Battery lifetime considerations and the role of cycling.

A range of considerations such as safety, standards, battery installation considerations, and your questions will additionally be addressed.

Questions can be submitted beforehand or during the webinar through a chat window. pv magazine Editor in Chief Jonathan Gifford will moderate the webinar. We look forward to your participation!
