In this pv magazine Webinar we will examine the key weather and environmental parameters affecting PV performance, underlining the importance of assessing these parameters in PV site design and operation. Factors like solar irradiance, temperature, dust and soiling, wind speed, precipitation and humidity as they relate to performance will be assessed.

Sajad Badalkhani, Manager, technical support and services at OTT HydroMet, will introduce company’s instruments and solutions for measuring these parameters, offering examples to demonstrate the applications of its technologies and services.

Sajad Badalkhani is the Technical Support and Service Manager for Europe - Solar at OTT HydroMet, where he specializes in providing consultation and assistance for projects related to solar radiation measurement. With a PhD in Electrical Engineering and a passion for renewable energy, Sajad has a strong background in photovoltaic (PV) system design, realization, optimization, and performance assessment. In his role at OTT HydroMet, he contributes to numerous projects, helping to maximize the efficiency and reliability of PV systems through accurate measurements and tailored solutions.

Ryan joined pv magazine in 2021, bringing experience from a top residential solar installer, and a U.S.-based inverter manufacturer. He holds a degree in Management with a certification in Sustainable Business Practices from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is currently pursuing a Master of Energy and Environmental Management degree at the University of Connecticut.
