Tier1 German Manufacturer of solar panels AE Solar has always had high Corporate social responsibility (CSR), trying to contribute to sustainable development as much as possible. Several months ago, the team has been visiting the Babilonia favela in Rio with Revolusolar, a non-governmental organization. Since the visit, AE Solar has decided to donate to local communities. Thanks to the local distributor Helte, AE Solar accomplished a project that will encourage the young generation to be energy-efficient, take care of our ecosystem and save the planet.
“This year we have chosen our company’s CSR campaign to be very meaningful for the ones that need it the most. Most importantly, we have put our hearts and efforts to educate young generations to give them a clear vision of what is solar energy. During the Intersolar Brazil 2021, our head of marketing has visited Babilonia Favela in Rio with the help of Revolusolar, that was the moment that we have decided to contribute to the local communities. With the support of our local representative office, we have delivered joy to the kids in Circus. Renewable energy offsets the costs of climate change. This is what we aim to deliver to the kids globally and that was our reason for the season as well!” – says Alexander Maier – the CEO and founder of AE Solar.
In the coming years, technology improvements will ensure that solar becomes even cheaper. It could well be that by 2030, solar will have become the most important source of energy for electricity production in a large part of the world. This will also have a positive impact on the environment and climate change.
AE Solar has grown steadily over the past few years to both broaden its portfolio and strengthen its presence in the international marketplace. The module manufacturer now operates in more than 95 countries. In 2021 AE Solar has won the UN Global Compact Partnership for Sustainability Award – in the Planet Category.
The company has a wide range of distributors in local markets and is continuously striving to increase its global solar footprint.
