Mibet Launches FPV System Compatible with Vertically Oriented Modules

Mibet, a Chinese PV mounting system company, has launched the G7—a floating solar system designed for vertically oriented modules. This product offers a breakthrough solution to the technical challenges associated with using vertical module layouts in floating systems; it not only enhances safety and convenience for operations and maintenance (O&M) but also improves system stability and economic efficiency.

The system incorporates floating units in front of and behind each module to serve as O&M pathways, facilitating future maintenance.

Compared to horizontal module layouts, this system significantly increases installed capacity per unit of water area, requiring approximately 14% less water surface for the same number of modules. The G7 system reduces cabling requirements and minimizes power losses caused by excessive cable length, cutting cable-related losses by about 5W per module. The floating units feature a triple-rail design that accommodates two modules while sharing a central support and fastening structure; adjacent modules share support legs, allowing for a more compact layout and reduced material costs. Modules are secured using a dual-fastening method—top clamping and bottom locking—which boosts both stability and installation efficiency. Additionally, the support legs are equipped with positioning slots and limiters to streamline the installation of bolt assemblies.

According to Chen Tao, Mibet’s Marketing Director, the G7 floating system pioneers a vertical module configuration supported solely by support legs, offering a more diverse range of choices to a wide customer base.
