The world’s first cost effective dual axis solar tracker

Share

Ezon recently successfully completed the installation, commissioning and testing of their pilot plant using dual axis solar tracker. Soon will be completing their first reference project with dual axis solar tracker. MD of Ezon mentioned the following when describing the need of new tracker design in solar plant

While taking in to account of the following facts,

  1. Over 45% of the solar power generation could be harvested only by using solar trackers
  2. Dual axis solar trackers can deliver over 45% additional power generation (productivity)
  3. Single axis solar trackers can deliver around 16% additional power generation (productivity) only
  4. Solar trackers demand additional capital and maintenance cost
  5. The unviability of the existing dual axis solar tracker, designed and constructed in the principle of ‘Vertical Primary Dual Axis Tracker (VPDAT)’ in today’s economic scenario
  6. The advent of bifacial solar photovoltaic panels, by its nature and requirement, drives the need for cost effective and hi-productive solar trackers to achieve the maximum productivity

an absolute ‘necessity’ has arisen in the solar power generation market for the past few years and it is more intense at present, to have a cost-effective (bankable) and safe (insurable) dual axis solar tracker to harvest the maximum productivity to result in lowering the LCoE (Levelized Cost of Energy) and to be viable with the reducing PPA tariffs world-wide.

The six years of relentless research has now resulted in the invention of a new, innovative, highly productive,  a bankable and insurable dual axis solar tracker designed & constructed in the principle of ‘Horizontal Primary Dual Axis Tracker (HPDAT)’ which is named as “Integrated Tilting Solar Tracker (iTST)”.

A solar power plant with Ezon’s iTST, can generate over 33% (average yearly productivity) more power generation than an equivalent fixed-tilt solar power plant generation, for an additional capital investment of just 12% of the project cost prevailing as of today. This cost-effectiveness ensures the ‘bankability’ of our iTST.

Also, iTST’s extraordinary design features make our product more ‘wind resilient’, avoids stockpiling of ‘snow’ and ‘sand’ leading to better insurability status.
